Citywide Cleanu Set For Cozad From March 27th-31st At City City Council Meeting

The Cozad City Council met for a regular meeting on Monday, February 20, 2017. 
Pastor Doug Smith, Cozad United Methodist Church delivered the invocation following the Pledge of Allegiance.
Wilson Public Library Director Laurie Yocom shared the Library Board’s Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 with the council.
Under Old Business, Jeremy Koch, Natural Escapes and Linda Mann, Linda’s Yard Care Service presented a joint proposal for park maintenance at Veteran’s Memorial Park and the Jensen Water Feature north of the swimming pool at Muny Park. Koch would be spreading the mulch and Mann maintaining throughout the growing season. Koch is suggesting that perennials be planted under the trees at Veteran’s Memorial Park where the mulch is now. Council members decided to discuss it further amongst themselves and revisit the proposal at the March 6th council meeting.
Charles McGraw, RYDE Transit and several patrons of the transit system in Cozad and rural Cozad appeared to ask for local funding for the upcoming year. Council members approved a resolution providing $1,100 local funding for the 2017-2018 fiscal year.
Council members set the annual citywide spring clean up for March 27th – March 31st.
The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 6, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Office Building.
