Marian "Macky" Vollmer, 83, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Monday, April 30th, 2012, at Lexington Regional Health Center in Lexington.
She was born July 17th, 1928, in Omaha, Nebraska. She grew up in Clay County and attended school in Edgar, Nebraska. In 1943, she moved to Dawson County with her family. On July 24th, 1944, she married Frank Vollmer. They were blessed with three children, Larry, Bev and Pam.
Macky was employed at Parkway Cafe, Maloley Grocery Store and Pamida. She enjoyed word search puzzles, crossword puzzles and having her family over and cooking for them. She loved her family and cherished her time with them.
She is survived by one son, Larry (Alice) Vollmer of Kearney, Nebraska; two daughters, Bev (Mick) Weaver of Lexington and Pam Vollmer of Lexington; three grandsons, Brian (Alisha) Weaver of Gothenburg, Nebraska, Matt (Jeana) Weaver of Lexington and Doug Vollmer of Lincoln, Nebraska; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Morgan, Madisen, Bradyn, Ethan, Natalie, Makayla, Devyn and Lane; one step-brother, Alfred (Dorothy) Kincheloe of Grand Island, Nebraska; three aunts, Lillian Grant of Valparaiso, Nebraska, Frankie (Kenneth) Mays of Overland Park, Kansas and Alyce Klauz of Lexington; many cousins, friends and her church family.
Marian was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Frank; mother and step-father, Mary and Henry Kincheloe; stepbrother, Jerry Kincheloe and aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral Services will be held (today) Thursday, May 3rd, 2012, at 10:30 a.m., at the Evangelical Free Church in Lexington with Pastor Duane Russell officiating.
Burial will be in the Robb Cemetery south of Lexington.
