Amy L. Schultheiss, 52, of Elwood, Nebraska, died Friday, April 20th, 2012, at the Elwood Care Center, in Elwood, Nebraska.
She was born on March 30th, 1960, at Cozad, Nebraska, to Myron and Glennis (Gruber) Schultheiss.
Amy attended school at the Nebraska State Trainable School until its closure, she then moved to Oxford, Nebraska, where she was part of the work program. Later on she moved to Kearney, Nebraska and worked at Baldwin Filters where many friends were made with her cheerful ways. She was a life long participant in ARC and Special Olympics and enjoyed any sports activities she participated in and loved showing you her medals. She was a confirmed member of St. John Lutheran Church at Eustis, Nebraska.
She was preceded in death by her father, Myron Schultheiss.
Survivors include her mother, Glennis Thies and her husband Richard of Elm Creek, Nebraska; brother, Tony (Jeri) Schultheiss of Eustis; sister, Debbie (Tony) Janus of Eustis and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends whom she was known to always greet with big hugs.
There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen.
Memorial services were held Monday, April 23rd, 2012, at 1 p.m., at the Elwood Funeral Home, in Elwood, with the Rev. Kenton Birtell, officiating. Private family inurnment followed at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, in Maxwell, Nebraska.
