Longtime Lexington Resident: Earnie Livingston, age 82 (1930-2012)

Earnie L. "Bill" Livingston, 82, of Lexington, Nebraska, died Wednesday, February 29th, 2012, at his home in Lexington.

He was born February 17th, 1930, at Ansley, Nebraska, to Arnie and Sylvia (Rucker) Livingston. Bill attended country school near Oconto, Nebraska. He was united in marriage to Delores Spencer on May 18th, 1952, at Cozad, Nebraska. Five children were blessed to this marriage: Richard, Barbara, Robert, Michael and Tresa.

The couple made their home Fremont, Nebraska, for more than 20 years where Bill worked at Elevator B. In 1972, the couple moved to Lexington.

Bill always had a love for horses and enjoyed riding whenever he could. He also enjoyed bowling, playing pitch, gardening and visiting with friends and family. Bill and Dee both enjoyed helping folks with their grocery shopping, running errands and lending a caring ear to those who needed help. He was a member of Lexington Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Delores Livingston of Lexington, Nebraska; two sons, Richard (Linda) Livingston of Grand Island, Nebraska, Robert Livingston of Atwater, California; one brother, Claude Livingston of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Tresa and Barbara; one son, Michael; one grandson, Jason; two brothers, Paul and Phillip and two sisters, Mabel and Hazel.

Funeral Services were held Monday, March 5th, 2012, at 11 a.m., at Lexington Christian Church with Pastor K.C. BeDunnah officiating.
