Debra Botts, 56, of Cozad, Nebraska, died Tuesday, January 31st, 2012, at the Cozad Community Hospital.

Debra was born on November 19th, 1955, at Omaha, Nebraska, to Melvin Botts and Charlene Farmer. She resided in Omaha for a few years before moving to Beatrice, Nebraska, where she lived much of her life. She moved to Cozad in February of 2009. 

Debra enjoyed the time she lived in Cozad and explored the many things offered by small town living. She especially loved visiting the parks, walks in her neighborhood, community concerts, shopping and Hay Days activities. She was interested in music, cooking and watching sports. She met many new friends in Cozad and will be remembered for her sense of humor, spirit and love of life.

Debra is survived by her guardian, Peg Houchin of Johnson Lake, Nebraska and her many friends and family at South Central Developmental Services in Cozad.

Services were held Friday, February 3rd, 2012, at the Berryman Funeral Home Chapel in Cozad with Pastor Jeremy Jech officiating. 

Burial was in the Cozad Cemetery.
