Lexington boys Soccer coach Mike Zarate resigned from his position as the head coach of the Minutemen Soccer program on Monday.

Zarate was at the helm of the most successful years of the Orange and Black-clad soccer program. They have qualified for the state tournament the past six consecutive years. Mike Zarate was an assistant for the Minutemen soccer squad before taking over as head coach for the past nine seasons, racking up an overall wins/loss record of 77-71.

Leaving the program in good shape is what Mike Zarate hoped for, as he would like to spend more time with his family.
