Haymakers, Minutemen Tee Off At Kearney Golf Invite

The action on the course was smoking hot, as teams from across the state ascended on Meadowlark Hills to compete in the Kearney Golf Invitational on Friday.

 

McCook flexed their muscle and won the team race with a combined score of 307. Cozad combined for a 379 and Lexington netted a 391.

 

Leading the way for the TRIBUNE-area linksters was Minuteman Brian McMahon with a score of 87 in 34th place overall.

 

Cozad was led by Jordan Henry and Jack Cornelius with scores of 89 and 92, good enough for 41st and 47th place honors.

 

Tyson Block of Lexington scored a round of 95 to contribute greatly for the Orange and Black’s team score.
