Farnam Founders Days, “B Boppin Back To The 50’s” 2013 celebration will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 22nd and 23rd. This year will be as good as ever with numerous kids activities, the annual car show, the best small town parade in the west and of course, the Barbecue Rib Cook-Off!

Founders Days will start off on Friday, June 21st with appetizers being served at Three Brothers Winery and then a performance from 7-9 p.m. at the high school by the famous and well-known Joseph Hall, an Elvis Presley impersonator. Tickets can be purchased by calling 308-569-2439 or 308-640-1456.

The annual Founders Day Parade will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 22nd.
The parade is the kick off for a big day of fun, food, games and visiting. You can begin your ‘after the parade’ day by having lunch by the D.C. Crew with the “Triple P” Polka Band at 11 a.m. and then there will be a Craft and Home-Based Business Show.
A Car Show & Shine will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. with concessions being served in the school.

The kids will find their way to the water slides, gladiator arena and barrel rides. (Consider bringing a swim suit and towel, but not mandatory) from noon to 4 p.m. If that isn’t enough entertainment, take in the dodge ball tournament at the tennis court starting at 2:30 p.m.

The afternoon excitement and participation will have whetted your appetite for food. Waiting for you after tantalizing your senses with the aromas of their cooking odors is the Barbecue Rib Cook-Off starting at 6 p.m. at the south end of the park.
Alexa Whipple will be providing a musical performance from 7-8 p.m. at the south end of the park

Country Blues will be providing entertainment later in the evening with music and dancing by a DJ.

Sunday morning breakfast at the Methodist Church will be followed by the Community Church Service at the school at 10:30 a.m. A free noon meal will be provided by the Farnam Founders Days Committee.
