Betty J. Wonderly, 75, of Elwood, Nebraska, died on Sunday, February 9th, 2014, at Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington, Nebraska.
She was born on August 17th, 1938, at Trenton, Nebraska, to Wesley I. and Edna (Frakes) Fuqua.
She graduated from Imperial High School in Imperial, Nebraska, with the Class of 1956. She married Edward Wonderly on May 8th, 1956, at Imperial. They lived in Lexington for a short time before moving to Elwood.
Betty worked for many years with the Elwood Bulletin Newspaper and then later at the Elwood Care Center before retiring. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and especially loved her cats and dogs. She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Elwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward, brother, Harry Fuqua.
She is survived by sisters: Mary Ann Schnacker of Lexington; Rose Griess of Spokane, Washington and many nieces and nephews

Graveside services were held Friday, February 14th, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Elwood Cemetery, in Elwood, Nebraska with Rev. Michael Wolff, officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Elwood Veterinary Clinic & Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Elwood.
