Jackie Rae Lotke, 55, of North Platte, Nebraska, formerly of Cozad Nebraska, died December 10th, 2013, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
Jackie was born July 25th, 1958, in Oberlin, Kansas, to Floyd Lee and Dorothea "Dottie" (Forrester) Lotker Jr. She attended high school at Decatur Community High School and Nebraska College of Technical Agricultural in Curtis, Nebraska. Jackie received an associate’s degree in veterinary technology in 1985.
She married Lynn Myers on February 14th, 1988. They lived in Cozad for a time and were currently residing in North Platte.
Her passions in life were her family and her animals. She loved showing her dogs and horses, winning awards for both.
Jackie always wanted to help others in any way possible, both in life and beyond as she chose to be an organ donor.
She was preceded in death by her mother and a nephew, Jacob Wasson.
Jackie is survived by her husband; two sons, Thomas (Danielle) Wasson, of Selden, Kansas and Matthew Lotker, of Colby, Kansas; daughter, Eustacia Cole (Dustin Drake), of Waco, Nebraska; stepson, Bryon (Shannan) Myers, of Cozad; father, Floyd Lotker Jr., of Oberlin; sisters, Laurie (James) Wasson and Sherri Shuler of Oberlin; brother, Floyd (Soma) Lotker III, of Redondo Beach, California; four grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, December 13th at 3 p.m. at the funeral home in Oberlin.
A private inurnment in Oberlin Cemetery will follow.
Memorials may be given to the Oberlin City Library.
