Rodney Parrish, 63, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died August 2nd, 2013, at his home with his wife by his side.
He was born February 25th, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan, son of Jesse Warvie and Viola Parrish.
Rodney married Mae Swindle on August 30th, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rodney proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War 1967-69. He worked for many years as an over the road truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars and was a well-known computer geek. He was very proud of his Cherokee heritage.
Survivors include his wife, Mae Swindle of Gothenburg, three daughters: Lori Zimmerman, Cara M. Warvie, MaeLynn Westbrook; four sons: Jesse L. Warvie, James D. Stevens, Rodney L. Parrish Jr., Wayne H. Parrish; 23 grandchildren; along with many extended family and friends.
Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Warvie and mother, Viola Parrish.
Memorial services were held at Victory Assembly of God, August 7th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Borchardt officiating.
