Larry E. Struempler, 56, of Lincoln, Nebraska, died at his residence in Lincoln.
Larry Struempler was born January 14th, 1957, at Callaway, Nebraska, to Fritz and Bonnie (Weaver) Struempler. He was baptized February 10th, 1957, at the Lutheran Church in Callaway. Confirmed May 3rd, 1971, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Arnold, Nebraska. Larry grew up south of Arnold on Tallin Table where he attended Tallin School through the 8th grade. He attended Arnold High School for three years, and Loup City High School.
Larry served in the Marine Corp September of 1974 to September of 1976 and was stationed in Hawaii.
On December 15th, 1978, Larry married Sharon Collier at Amelia, Nebraska. Larry worked at various jobs over the years including construction, fencing and for the railroad.
Larry is survived by a son Chancey Struempler of Grand Island, Nebraska; two daughters, Brandy (Rodney) Holling of Hastings, Nebraska and Roxie (Saul) Tranquilino of Ceresco, Nebraska; six grandchildren; mother, Bonnie Struempler of Broken Bow; two sisters, Shirley (David) Steele of Lexington, Nebraska, Patricia (Paul) Wathen of Hastings. He was preceded in death by his father Fritz Struempler.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 13th at 11 a.m. at Govier Brothers Chapel in Broken Bow, Nebraska, with Rev. Ryan Loeslie officiating.
Burial was at the Christ Lutheran Cemetery near Oconto, Nebraska, with Military rites at 2:30 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
