Alice May Boyd, 83, of Gothenburg, Nebraska, died December 26th, 2012, at Stone Hearth Estates in Gothenburg.
She was born February 18th, 1929, in Gothenburg, daughter of Jurgen and Minnie (Heuer) Heidebrink.
Alice graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1946. She married Frank Boyd on November 9th, 1947. They lived and worked in Lexington, Nebraska, until March 1st, 1949, when they moved to her family farm north of Gothenburg. They made their home on the farm for 60 years until they moved into town to live at Stone Hearth Estates.
Alice attended St. John's Lutheran Church then later the American Lutheran Church. She belonged to the Hanna Circle. She and her husband enjoyed getting together with family and enjoyed square dancing.
Survivors include four sons: Robert (Lisa) Boyd of Hastings, Nebraska, David (Cynthia) Boyd of Lexington, Thomas (Janet) Boyd of Overton, Nebraska, Douglas (Mimi Schneider) Boyd of Lincoln, Nebraska; grandchildren: Nichole (Erik) Wetjen, Leilani Boyd, Zachary Boyd, Sarah (Cesar) Hernandez, Matthew (Sara) Boyd, Shawn (Kendra) Boyd; 13 great-grandchildren Alice was preceded in death by husband, Frank F, Boyd, great-grandson, Cain, her parents Jurgen and Minnie Heidebrink, four brothers - Earl, Walter, Lester, and Marvin Heidebrink, two sisters, Alma Heidebrink and Vera Geiken.
Funeral Services were held at American Lutheran Church on January 2nd, 2013, at 10:30 am with Pastor Tom Wilson officiating.
Interment followed in the Gothenburg Cemetery, Gothenburg.
