Connie R. Petersen, 70, of Overton, Nebraska, died Thursday, December 6th, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska.

She was born June 9th, 1942, in Ainsworth to John and Goldia (Powers) Pedersen.
On July 14, 1963, she married Wayne Petersen in Valentine, Nebraska. The couple then moved to Overton in 1976, where they raised their family.

Survivors include her husband; daughters, Barbara Horn and husband, Ben, of Overton, Christina Davey and husband, Ron, of Overton and Kathleen Moes and husband, Kelley, of Kearney; son, Gerald Petersen and wife, Mindy, of Lumberton, Texas; nine grandchildren; brother, Johnny Pedersen and wife, Della, of Farmington, Arizona.; and sister, Helen Jones of Ainsworth.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services were held Tuesday, December 11th, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lexington with the Rev. Rob Kuefner officiating. Burial will be at Overton Cemetery.

O'Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral Home of Kearney was in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designation.
